Our team was incredibly honored to participate in Apple App Store’s Best Of 2019 event in New York City. The event celebrated Apple’s best apps and games of the year – to which Sky was recognized as iPhone Game of the Year.
We began Sky’s initial development and prototyping way back in 2012/2013, and it has been a long path through R&D, pre-production, production / beta to launch over the past 6 years. At every point along the way – we focused on creating an experience that could emotionally-enrich as many players as possible, and to ensure that Sky could be a game that could be shared with your loved ones. We have worked to maintain our artistic and design vision of Sky at every juncture, and we are thrilled to see this recognized by the App Store team and by Apple.
From its inception, we chose to develop Sky for iOS (iPhone and iPad) first because we believed that experiencing a timeless, artistic, immersive, emotionally-moving game with family and friends should be accessible to everyone. Our studio’s goal has been to continue to invite casual and non-gamers to download our works, in the hope to inform them that a range of high quality games designed for players of all ages are available to them to try together.
